Web strategy is a very import and often over looked part of the web design and development process. Most clients just want to get everything done in a hurry with out fully outlining what they are looking to do. This leads to lack luster results and poor client satisfaction.

The benefit of creating a web strategy is that you fully outline what you're looking to do. This creates a very effective implementation of your project and makes sure to hit every possible facet in the design and layout of your online business. Not to mention the improvement in success rate of your ideas, the added financial success, and improved feeling of satisfaction at the end.

Part 1 - The outlines.

When it comes to creating an effective web strategy there are 3 basic outlines that need to be created. The first outline being a business outline. In this outline you fully describe what your business offers and how it's offered. This is important because with out knowing fully what you want to do, how can you tell people what you do and sell that service or product?

The next type is a web outline. In this outline you list each page in your website and all of the sub pages for this page. This allows a streamlined creation of your new design to fit your exact needs.

The final outline is the web copy outline. In this outline you add to the previous outline and fill in all the written copy that will go on your page. This prevents any unnecessary conflicts between SDE and the client. Not to mention gives you to a written copy of your website that you could take to any designer and quickly get another design if you so choose.

In order to effectively win over your clients you need a good marketing strategy. This is just another element to creating a successful website or web applications. Remember our goal is to give your project the best change it has of succeeding and bringing your vision to fruition.
